| Hi! I've used this list for 6th edition, and had a break - and I am back now. I've just taken a quick glance at the new edition, but I'm not really good at army building anyway I would really appreciate any tips on what to change in the list with the new rules in mind. Any suggestions on what to improve would be very welcome!! I'm pretty flexible when it comes to switching things out, but the only thing I don't want to switch out is the bloodbrides, I kinda like them The Archon is supposed to go with the Incubi, and Succubus with the bloodbrides. HQ Archon Huskblade Soul-Trap Shadow Field Phantasm Grenade Launcher Total 160 Succubus Agoniser Haywire Grenades Total 90Elites 4 Incubi Klaivex Venom Transport Splinter Cannon Nightshields Total 178 9 Hekatrix Bloodbrides Razorflail Hydra Gauntlet Shardnet and Impaler Syren w/Agoniser Haywire Grenades Raider Transport Night shields Total 265 Troops 10 Kabalite Warriors Splinter Cannon Raider Transport Nightshields Splinter Racks Total 180 5 Kabalite Warriors Blaster Venom Transport Splinter Cannon Nightshields Total 135 5 Kabalite Warriors Blaster Venom Transport Splinter Cannon Nightshields Total 135 Fast Attack 6 Reavers 2 Blasters Total 162 Heavy Support Ravager Nightshields Total 115 Razorwing Jetfighter Disintegrators Nightshields Flicker Field Total 165 Razorwing Jetfighter Nightshields Flicker Field Total 165 Grand Total 1750 Thanks in advance! | |

| I'd drop the night shields from everything except the ravager. It's the only thing that will stay back at max distance to fire. (+70 points)
The bloodbrides could just as easily be normal wyches with haywire grenades, and a hekatrix with agonizer. I've painstakingly done the math on them in multiple situations, and wyches will typically do a similar job with an upgraded hekatrix...and they're really just a succubus escort anyhow. The succy will do the killing. Wyches special weapons are bad. They just aren't worth the points, so I wouldn't buy any at all. (+57 points)
I'd drop the blasters on the two Warrior units, the klaivex from the incubi, and the haywire grenade from the succubus. (+50 points) Reasons: Warriors will then be specialized in poison instead of wasting shots. Incubi don't need klaivex because they're getting leadership bonus from archon. Succy's unit has HWG for less than half the price. She doesn't need an overpriced one.
That leaves you with 177 points. It costs 173 points for 4 trueborn with 4 blasters in a venom with 2 splinter cannons.
Good luck! | |

| I find it sometimes handy having a Blaster in Warrior's unit. It cannot be ignored as easily and takes some heat off Ravagers. Its ofc arguable as there are many situations when you need your troops zooming across the battlefield not shooting. But its worthwile to consider IMHO. | |

| Thanks for the suggestions I really appreciate it! Aren't the nightshields good on all ships though? Just wondering, if not using those excess points on Trueborn - what would you use them on (just considering a few options ^^)? | |

He's only losing 2 blasters on warrior squads, and he's gaining 4 on a trueborn squad. Having blasters in warrior squads adds flexibility at the cost of efficiency. I think efficiency is better, so long as you have good target priority. | |

| Ive found that the RZWF with dissies is not as effective as I would want it to be. Ive played against alot of tyranid flyer spam and it seems with their high T the dissies don't do as many wounds as the DL would. Plus the DL is good against vehicles. | |

| Well NS are good, but as with all our upgrades - situational. If you dont play really well with them positionally, they are thown-out pts. And still one not-so-lucky long-range shot can kill the protected vehicle. I am very reluctant to pay upgrades. Boys over Toys... | |

| I'd say drop the night shield from the fighter and give your archon combat drugs. You have a 50% chance of getting a really good drug to help you (+1 strength, reroll failed to wound, fnp on the squad). For a 4 man incubi squad you don't really need a klaivex. Instead of warriors in the venoms for the same cost you can get 5 wyches with haywire grenades allowing the bloodbrides to charge infantry instead of tanks. Toss a flickerfield on the ravager as well ( I've lasted in combat because of the shield). Toss a flickerfield on all transports actually you should have enough if you dont upgrade to klaivex which allows a save against bolters without you jinking. You may want to try heat lances on the reavers as well. They are cheaper and in my opinion a better tank killer because reavers are mobile enough to be within 9" of a tank. Just some thoughts, like the list! | |

| I like night shields just because it frustrates space marine players who are try to shot a melta at 7" and it's out of range because of the night shield | |
