Coven Proxies?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I wondered about painting and modelling, but It's not really a modelling thread per se.


so! Grots are awesome. Grots have one model. Grots are £15.50 each. 2/3 of these are unacceptable.

I used these bad boys as Haemys


Any ideas for grots or wracks proxies?

As for myself, I have used these as proxies;

The entire Cryx line is 'alternate Coven models' as far as I can tell.

Well I still consider the best and cheapest way to get very nice Grots as a conversion from Hordes Ogrun Warspears and Talos spare bits:

I used the new style rat ogres, varghiests/crypt fiends from warhammer fantasy and spare parts from talos kits.

My Wracks are kit-mashed Warriors with Wood Elf Dryads.

This may sound odd but I'm really keen on representing coven units as... ORK MERCS

Wracks: Orcs with ccw's and flame throwers
Grots: Cybork Nobs with bigger ccw's and flame throwers
Talos: Deff Dred with lotsa killy claws and flame throwers
Cronos: Deff Dred with a weirdboy strapped to the top channeling waaaagh energy
Haemonculi: Painbosses with 'urty medikal tools

Maybe run Killa Kan as the Grots instead? It's closer in size and base size than a Nob would be.

One word about the idea to use those as haemonculi - Fancy.

Also, I agree with Thor on the grot part.
