I've been pondering on adding Harlies to my Disco Booters, but kinda don't feel like spending so much on them to field 20-30 Harlies and Shadowseers/Death's Jesters. Has any of you tried to convert other models into Harlequins? I was thinking about picking some wych boxes, painting them accordingly and kit-bashing some bits to make them look harlequin enough. This could even work for Death's Jesters with creative head picks (like har-ganeth executioners etc.) and aproppriately modeled Dark Lance.

Edit: From my research into GW models,  these units (other than wyches) could make nice Harlequins at lower price:

For a more commando approach, mage hunter infiltrators:

If you play covens, it might be a funky idea to kit bash wyches with Wracks for a more grotesque troupe.

A fun idea for a Shadowseer, just add a staff in her hands

I will update the list with more models if I find any nice options from non-GW sculpting companies.

Hi.

I hope you don't think it presumptuous of me to link you to my own project log, but I have based an army around a harlequin/carnival theme predominantly using wych, scourge and dark elf wyches as the base. Simple bits swapping or kit bashing can really achieve a nice effect without having to spend a fortune. Maybe buy one box of harlies and mix all the bits in with the wych kits as you will get far more for your money that way. I am going to do that for my vehicle crews and second scourge team.

These are brilliant - not exactly what I was aiming at, but gave me some really nice ideas. Thanks a lot. Smile

Thanks Smile

I know they are more carnival than harlequin, but it shows how versatile the wych and scourge kits are. With a little conversion work and bits swapping you can really fit them to any theme you want Smile
