I am also i got a blaster for my Archon now I just need to figure out if I am going to put him with the scourges or in a venom by himself

Why not stick them in a squad of say a medusae and 2-3 sslyths?

I feel that if you are putting an archon with a blaster into a squad, it should be blaster-born. That is what my loadout is at least. If close quarters are what you build for you do do far worse than Sslyth and medusae. Just with the prevalence of a bunch of harsh stuff in the game it might be better to fill a raider than a venom
