Talos + cronos conversions

As I need 2 talos and a cronos I'd rather not spend over 140$ for the models and was wondering what other people have used as the basis and the mechanical bitz. One idea I had was to use the drone/fly creatures from the nurgle demons box (anyone know how bulky they are?) But would still need those wirring mechanical bits. Also any ideas on converting the haywire blasters?

I used the big storm fiends from Skaven and a Talos kit.
The Talos became the chronos and the fiends became the Taloi.
Granted, I had weapons left over to build the guns.

If you have spare heat lances (from either talos or reavers) they’re pretty easy to make into convincing haywires by cutting down the end a bit and using the little double bayonet bit from the warrior box.

Thanks guys, think I'd still like to go for the nurgle drones as they're on flying bases, but was tempted when I looked at the storm fiends. Got any pics? And yes, got heat lances so will give that a go

If you let it flow, cover up some holes and add DE weaponry you should be good.
