Because of the return of Gang Busters in ITC I had to remove the Pain Engines and Grotesques about a month ago. Its painful to see your opponent rack up 8 points on secondaries so easily.

Faced against a Chaos SM army, Eldar army with Seer Council on bikes, and a Death Watch w/Knight army.

The disintegrator spam works as usual against infantry and knights.  The Wyches did not really do anything so I plan to change them out with a mixed detachment of Kabalites w/shredder + blaster and two Succubus HQ's.

As usual with my lists it takes a while to play because of all the shooting/dice rolling in it so when timed I need to move fast.

Relics I usually take are Writ of the living muse (of course), Parasite's Kiss for the archon with pistol, and Helm of spite.  

All Black Heart, FNP too good imo.

This weekend at two tournaments Sat and Sunday I will try the slightly modified list.

How are they getting 8 points? secondaries are max at 4, if you have 1 units of 10 Grots and 1 unit of 3 Talos thats only 5 points they can get at max from 2 different secondaries. You cant double up on units for points i thought?

You can double up on the secondaries that have a asterisk (*). What I meant to say is they get 4 for big game hunter and 4 for gang busters. So lets say I take a 10 man grotesque unit, my opponent will get 1 point for every 6 wounds inflicted which is not hard to do nowadays in the tournament scene (usually takes them one to two turns to max out on GangBusters). Pain Engines give up big game hunter per model not unit and my opponent can also gain gangbuster points from pain engines too if he chooses to and they are in a unit of two or more models.

So for a list that takes 3 ravagers, 2-3 units of 3 man grotesques and a few pain engines or flyers point points can rack up too quickly for your opponent. I find that forcing them to take different secondaries takes them longer to score and makes the game harder on my opponent. Of course my opponent still has the option for big game hunter now but its harder to achieve the other two secondaries.

For example, Butchers bill is commonly taken against me in matches (kill 2 units per player turn and gain 1 point). The maximum they can gain is 1 point per turn rather than maxing out in one turn. I usually give up BB for the first two turns but it gets harder to score them because of the mass casualties I cause if my target priority is good. If my opponent is able to gain 4 points on BB then that means they spent 4 turns trying to gain that point. Often enough it makes a difference so they end up shooting at a venom or Kabalite unit rather than a ravager or flyer at full health because of the uncertainty of killing them (roll your 6+++ a few times and they will start doubting their ability to kill things.)

AH, i thought it didnt have teh "*" i havent played with the new secondary yet, i try to avoid ITC. But when i do play ITC its with Quins allies b.c im in a Knight meta area (1-3 knights in every imperial list and non imperial they just get objectives and get int he way), so 6 Skyweavers is a must, especially since they are almost impossible to kill outside of massive auto hits and Smite spam (-2 to hit and 3++) then the Solitaire is a must for me as well.

My list was build to only give 3 points in any secondary before the new on, so IDK if i should change my Skyweavers, tho they have never died in a tournament before.

And honestly everyone takes Butchers bill vs and venom spam with kabals army., If you pop a venom you get the kabals inside without trying.

Big game and gangbusters do not stack it was too easy for my opponents to fill out points on one or the other in one round.  That's why I changed it.
