My finished models thread

Greetings, been intermittently posting on the forum but felt i'd put up some pics of my slowly getting painted raiding force. as yet I haven't named them but i thought you may be interested. I'm mainly using contrast paints and I'm happy how they're turning out.

First up some Reavers;

This is basically my Cult paint scheme, just done way better than mine

Those jetbike models have always confused my eye when i look at them but with your paint scheme, i feel like I can understand the hull shape now.

Also love the wyches trophies, simle and effective

Thanks, but I'm using contrast paints and they do most of the work.

Also thanks, I spent quite a bit of time deciding where the blocks of colour should go so if they seem clear then I'm happy they make sense, also glad you like the trophies, of all the units, they should have plenty of body parts scattered around them.

I really like the white of Wyches skin on the jet bikes. How did you do that?

Thanks, it is white undercoat with Apothecary white contrast paint on it.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case

I'm finding the little guys really hard to paint due to the different undercoats needed. I find that their skin ideally requires a white undercoat and their armour/guns requirer a black undercoat.

That’s not a problem as I undercoated the entire model white, then any metallic parts were painted over in silver gold or whatever, then I put an ink wash over the metals and once I’ve tidied up the inks overspill (there usually is some with me) I paint in contrast paint.

Just got these lads finished before 2022!
