I guess I'm the only one struggling with the Wyche's suits, because I have searched for topics on this matter and couldn't find any. Haha...

How did you guys paint the Wych's skinsuit?

I'm looking for an easy way to get it to tabletop quality. And I was thinking about those black shiney PVC/Latex skinsuits. But i'm also open to completely different paintschemes. I also don't mind more than 2 layers haha... Below are just my attempts which hapenned to be 2 layered.

What I've tried so far is to keep it chaos black and then highlight it with Skull White, but this made it too sharp and... messy. I don't know. Didn't look right.
Then I kept it chaos black and tried to drybrush it very very dry with Skull White. It came more close to what I wanted, but it still doesn't look right.

I played a few games now while they were simply chaos black, haha... But I really need to finish the job. What could you guys recommend?

Try highlighting with Astronomican Grey basecoat, maybe some Codex Grey over that coat for that extra highlight, then just wash over with Badab Black. I do that for my Wyches and am quite pleased with the result.

If you want t o keep them black, highlight with codex gray then fortress gray. For the latex look, I put the gloss varnish on them. I did that for an Emperorers Children squad and it came out looking nice with minimal highlights.

Hope this helps

I like to highlight black with a dark blue green, then with hawk turquoise. makes it look shinier, to me at least.

I highlight black using shadow grey mixed with black, then very fine pure shadow grey highlights. Cuts out on the chalky look.
