| I'm just listening to a podcast and to my disgust they are pronouncing Hellion like hee-lee-un. Outrage!
This led me to think, how do you pronounce some of the different unit entries.
I myself pronounce Scourge two different ways, either scorge or scurge.

| English is funny, 15 ways to say one word, and unless I figure out how use my camera mic to record it there is no way I coud write my pronounciations. Imagine there is no subtly in it.
Btw my way of saying Archon 0:47 Hope it helps. _________________ ....shhh, it's okay, it's just me....

| The funny thing with the english language is alot of people get it wrong in the simplest of ways LOL what people assume is the queens english is not actually how the language is supposed to sound and there lies the inherant problem (people from the south of England tend to extend vowels where they are not needed and O can turn into Owh and A into Ah, with the A in kabAlite being the prime example). but that is another subject all together
Asdrubael: Azd-droo-bay-el Hellion: Hell-ion or He-lay-on Kabalite: Ka-bal-ite and in extension Kabal: Ka-Baal Scourge: Scurge
my RPG name for a female elf that i have used since about 1994, thus my female Archon..... Dhar'lethi: Dhar-leth-e (not hard but people get it wrong) | |

| TBH i dont recall the books i was reading at the time (it was like nearly 20 years ago LOL) it could well have been a 2nd ed D&D i was reading whan i made that name..... i was also starting up some cyber-punk RP too with some weird source book i found in a friends book shelf, very reminiscent of RT era 40K and it could have been a name generator i used fom one of those. though i am sure it was mostly me. | |

| At the moment I'm wavering between:
Cable-Ite or Kabbal-ite.
Jes and Phil used the latter in their promo vid, incidentally, but bad habits die hard. _________________ Fetch me another plaything. This one seems to have broken.

| actually that cyberpunk rpg could just have been.... cyberpunk (either 2013, or 2020 depending on when you played). that was what me and some mates played before shadowrun.
anyway, back top the topic:
Kabalite - kah-bal-ite hellion - helly-on scourge - skur-j (as in j-ack) azdrubael - azz-droo-bale wych - witch (as opposed to which...or what, why, who, where or when!!) haemonculus - heem-on-Q-luss haemonculii - heem-on-Q-lie
and what about the baron:
sah-thay-on-icks sath-yon-icks
or something else? i favour the first one, taking the onyx as being like the semi-precious stone, but i've heard the other.

| I find myself struggling on how to say them out loud when talking to friends/enemies. I always have to pause and think. When I read words, I don't think about how to say them, so when the time comes to say them, I'm always like... Vect is just Vect, I don't try to say his title. Baron is Baron. Hey-mon-cue-luss Hell-e-yon or Heal-lee-on ... inconsistant there. A lot of the other tricky ones I have never said out loud and don't plan to. | |

| I'm like you Ahra, I find it quite hard to actually say the names as I hear them in my head. But lets have a go anyway... Asdrubael Vect As-Drew-Bale Vect The baron and the Duke I don't tend to have too much issue with, or Urien. But one I had a long conversation with my girlfriend over when I was trying to explain his character to her, how in the name of Shaa-dom do you pronounce Kheradruakh? Beyond just calling him the Decapitator I generally try and say his name as fast as I can and hope no one asks me to repeat it. _________________ The Poisoned Claw Returns - Painting and Modeling Log "It is said that it is far better to rule in hell, than to serve in heaven...
