The Monthly Vow - September - What's left in your bitz box?

Mirror, mirror, on the wall.

Who is the weediest painter of them all?

Step right up denizens and get your name immortalised in royal purple! Make a vow about what you are going to build/paint/convert during the month of September, and then show us your progress by the end of the month with a picture.

And remember, a picture or a link to a pic here in this thread or it didn't happen!

Challenge yourself, a friend or another archon. This is a great way to motivate yourself and others, or to just humiliate yourself a bit more publicly ....... and at the end, you will have a new, tabletop-ready piece or unit ready for our shiny, new 6th edition FAQ 2.0!!! (still waiting! )

It's Coven of the Ebon Sting September (Okay, October would have been better with Halloween and all, but I want to finish all of my coven stuff this month!)
I vow to finish:
-Complete Talos that has been haunting my desk 75% complete for MONTHS
-Complete second coven Raider that has been 60% complete for MONTHS
-Unit of 4 Wracks
-convert and paint a new coven Venom (This and the Wracks may be my Archon's challenge entry)
-Convert and paint 2 Grotesques
-Convert and paint Haemonculus
-Technically painted this month and completed last night: my "last" 3 Reavers

Things I have to work on:
-12 Reavers
-10 Hellions and bases
-5 Scourges
-Raider
-Razorwing fighter
-various bases

Pitiful human stuff:
-Dreadnought

Goals:
Assuming my 9 new Reavers arrive in the mail, I think 12 Reavers will basically keep me busy all month, and I want to finish the Dreadnought and Razorwing.

Extra credit:
Bases, Hellions or Scourges, Raider.

I'm aiming to finish off the 2nd Ravager and paint my first unit of Wyches and (hopefully) their Venom.

Gonna paint up a Farseer on Jetbike. Beyond that I'm unsure, either keep working on the four black Reavers or perhaps finish a Venom or two.

Wow, ambitious bunch of Archons this month! Must be ratings month in the arena.

I will build and paint 15 Wracks.

As an American during a presidential election year, I can say that I'm probably trying to hide at my painting table from all of the silly political ads Power to paint from PAIN

I shall redee myself from last month's failure by painting my Baron conversion (if I can drag mself away from my sons of Malys, that it).

I will definitely have that Talos done in the next couple of days and need to finish that coven Raider for a tournament this Saturday.

Looks really good! I like the muted blues and greens a lot, you really pull such subtle colour schemes off.

Forgot how much I HATE painting Raiders On to the 4 Wracks, Haemi, and a coven Venom(much easier to paint)

Wracks:

4 days to get their Venom done, then mad scramble to complete my Haemi conversion, paint it, and the 2 Grotesques

Nowhere near the speed ESE is going, but I've almost finished my Razorwing, working on the pilot right now:

I opted to take my time with the Haemi and will paint him up this weekend/early next week, then on to the Grotesques before the month is out.

Did a basic paintjob for my two Venoms.

Got my Wracks finished yesterday, plus a few extra goodies, and I am very happy with how they turned out.

Sadly, it seems this is it. Between some of my parts missing for the bikes and being super-busy and lazy, I basically did one bike and the Razorwing.

Sorry to be dragging my heels on posting the final results. RL has been crazy busy this week. I'll post a pic tonight of everything(including the unfinished Haemi-bit off more than I could chew...I think I broke a tooth or two in the process )

I just realized, I actually painted more than just my jet and one bike. I'm also finishing up this piece of monkeighbusiness:

These are the two salvaged (bad cast) Grotesques and the Haemonculus. Didn't get the Haemi done, but I'm pretty happy with all of the Coven stuff that I was able to finish.

More pics are in my project log. My painting vow for September was 15 Wracks, but I also finished Urien, a new Haemie and 3 old ones.
