I use a 3 man 2 lance squad on foot frequently and I am always surprised how ignored they are. Though that is mainly because my raiders and haywyches etc are screaming towards them so no bugger bothers with them!

Well usually! Like I said if I offer enough other distraction they tend to get ignored and have taken down dreads, IC's that have wandered off on their own and penned plenty of other things (in 6th that is).

For the price I cannot complain and they are so small they often get forgotten about (occasionally by me!) especially if they are in cover and you set them up so movement of the models is minimal.

Yeah placed under a ledge on a ruin or in trees and opponents often write them off as a low threat and then boom! something explodes or I insta death their T4 warlord

I got the right ruin for that. We call it the witch hut. Every plasma weapon fired from inside goes boom
and the following armor roll shows normally a 2. So, it usually stays on my side of the table.
