Grotesque Conversions

The spines look great on them.

Left and right models have spines straight out if the kit, with torn and stretched flesh modelled into them. My painting didn't do it justice.
The centre model had two holes for jutting pieces of bone, but the spine rack from the Talos lined up perfectly and slotted into the holes with minimal fuss.

Flakmonkey, I'm happy to hear you tried this. I've been thinking about trying it for a while to rep some particularly savage Grots, which I intend to sub in for Clawed Fiends. The only thing that held me back was the cost of the Crypt Fiends. However, now that I've seen you make them work, I'll give it a go.

The crypt fiends are expensive, that's what put me off making more. I'm looking for other models to convert/kitbash itoo another squad of three. Maybe yehtees or tyranids of some type. Ogres just look fat.
I checked out Modern Synthesist, you do awesome work. I'd love to see how your fiends turn out, I'm sure they'll make mine look amateurish by comparison :-)
