| I'm sittin' and building my brand new Voidraven.
What loadout would you recommend?
I think Voidlances seem good, as they can snapfire, and they will mess with any flyer. What kind of missiles should I take?
Also, As they have deep strike, does that mean I can deepstrike one behind an enemy flyer? I know flyers must move at least 18, does a ds-ing VRB count as having moved 18"?
Also, Isn't it a good idea to DS "Behind enemy lines"? This might make it troublesome for enemy Fliers entering the board.
P.S: Because I have 3 razorwings, and am good at using them, my local meta is Flyer/AA-heavy, with mandatory Dogfights.

| I plan on using razorwings for aerial support, and using the void raven as a monster ground target alpha strike. Therefore, I'll be loading it with:
dark Scythes void mine 4 shatterfield missles

This is a good question, by my understanding of DS rules and vehicle/flyer movement it would be considered as moving the 18" required. DS rules state that when a vehicle DS it comes in at combat speed(great for our warrior-raiders), and movement for flyers require a zooming flyer to move at combat speed(18-36") if they decide to come in as zooming instead of hovering. As far as I can see there is no minimum define movement in inches for Deep Strike. If anyone can find something that depicts against this, say otherwise.

| The only thing that comes to mind as to why this wouldn't work is that neither of our fliers has the deep strike special rule according to my codex (iPad edition)? | |

Yeah they don't have it in the hard copy codex either...

| Voidraven has the option to be tailored either AA or for ground-fire no problem, but either way I'd recommend keeping the Void Lances over Dark Scythes (cool as they sound) because they're the best anti-armour weapons in our 'Dex. And, as mentioned, Void Lances can be snap-fired.
And I'm not seeing where the talk about Deep-Striking flyers comes from either...

| Just depends on who you're up against. In a balanced competitive list, i'd agree with voidlances. But at home against an army with a low air threat, then bring out the dark scythes
Heck, it's almost worth it to shoot the 2 dark scythes and 2 implosion missiles, begin laughing maniacally and say screw it to jink!
