But that is entirely irrelevant as the rule does not say "wounds suffered in an assault". Calyptra has it entirely right and is echoing what I have said all along. Anything that happens between "5. Declare Next Charge or Finish Charge Sub-phase." and "4. Choose Next Combat or Finish Assault Phase." is, by definition, taking place in the fight sub-phase. Any wounds suffered by a Wych during that period benefit from a 4++ save, regardless of how those wounds occur.
