The Monthly Vow: October 2014

The Codex is here. No hiding behind "I don't know what to paint until the book is here" nonsense. What additions will you make to your raiding force to keep our prey quivering in terror?

Make a vow, or make it a threat, and tell us what you hope to achieve during October.  Paint it, slice it, convert it, ..... anything and everything.  Everyone who succeeds in their daring devil-do will get their name highlighted in TDC's highly-coveted-but-not-so-visible Commorraghan purpleTM!

This was a good way for me to get some same painting done last month. I'm down for

With the Coven base of my army pretty much established, I was looking to add some AT. With all the boosts from the new book, their versatility and the fact I had 3 still around from my battleforce, Reaver Jetbikes got the vote. I've got 6 now, but work will be hell in the coming weeks...

- 3 Reaver jetbikes, including riders

I've purchased all of the new toys, time to put down the mic and paint!

-Void Raven Bomber
-new Archon
-new Succubus
-new Haemonculus

I'm looking to get a unit of 10 warriors and their transport fully finished (already started) and a ravager done (again, already started)

On the basis that my dodgy spray primer absolutely destroyed the torso, head and arms of my Tau Broadsides from last month I've had to start from scratch with them so they will be my vow for the month but I'm also hoping to convert an Eldar Autarch on a converted Vyper.

Progress:

I magnetized the hell out of the Acothyst, gave the Haemi the option of running a Scissorhand or Aganoizer via magnets

I'm not really feelin the scourge, so I might give them a break.
I wanted to paint up the D-Scythes for my Wraithguard, since now I can drop them anywhere.
And make a WWP Archon with blaster. I don't think he'll need a CCW, as I doubt anything would survive a charge against the D-scythes.

I think it's taking as well as a flensed face stitched on to a sociopathic torturer ever does. There is a really cool distinction between the two flesh tones.

Failing miserably at this.

Two out of three Reavers have most of their edge highlights done, the third is just basecoated. Haven't even gotten started on the riders...

I did, however, manage to get a bunch of Grimhammer Dwarves done for The Hobbit SBG.

I definitely failed to complete my vow this month with a nasty cold, World Eaters distractions, and work rounding out my best excuses I'll be completing the Voidraven, Succubus, and Archon next month
