| What are you guys using for them? I'm new to DE so I'm not sure if there is an actual hexrifle model (Is that what the Wrack leader is holding?), so I was wondering if anyone out there even uses these, what they're using to convert them.
Thanks! | |

| The Acothyst in wrack box is armed with a hexrifle. Any sniper like weapon that looks dark eldarish would work to represent hexrifle, since it is only sniper weapon we can have. | |

| Sniper rifles or anything with a long barrel would work.
My thoughts are a splinter pistol or a blast pistol that is given a longer barrel with some plastic rod would work quite well.

| I thought it might be neat to use some of that colored plastic rod (like the Necrons get), and make it look all evilified and paint some runes on it. | |

| the wrack arm is nicely made actually, so if you want one, you can easily interchange it with the haemie model.
but color wise Ive always thought of it like a kinda like the necron rods. Mirror sheen, with a purple metallic ting to it. It is suppose to be part of the shattershards right???

| No, it has nothing to do with shattershards, but it fires small cristal cylinders, that are contaminated with the glass plague.
Look at page 21, in the upper right corner. (926.M36)
But nonetheless I like the idea of using a plastic rod, especially a purple one would match my color scheme, anyone an idea how to get that stuff?

| I'd show you, but I can't post links yet. lol
maybe I can pm them and you can repost my links here.
EDIT: Ok, I can PM links either yet.
Anyway, just google search color acrylic rods or something similar.

| ooohhh just had a thought.... get a standard splinter rifle and remove the barrell, then get a small flying base (we get two per flyer so spares should be easy to get) and cut it to size to fit instead of the barrell and the attach the original barrell end where the flying base stem attaches to the model (remove stub). the flying base can be tinted easily with inks and KLEAR/Future floor polish or if you cant get the polish vallejo glaze medium works also. | |

| I use an old death jester no conversion needed just an evil paint job. But as has been said any sleek long barrelled gun would do the job. | |
