painting thr flayed.

I love the flayed look and i will probably do my army in it. I was wondering what people would suggest on how to paint it. Is there a color for that purplish red color or is it a mix? it also has a slight metallic sheen to it so i am wondering how to do that. I just got an airbrush but I am not entirely skilled in it so it is an available tool. Thanks guys.

I would try basing it white. Then perhaps a pale pink. Apply a "red ink" instead of a red wash, should dry with a slight glisten and look like a fresh-flay. Then highlight to taste I imagine. Depends what you want as the end result, I like the flayed wracks but kind of want them to look a bit more gruesome and fresh! Inks are also great because they will pick out the recesses of the model and leave the raised bits auto-semi-highlighted!

will do, I am grabbing the paints today. I just need to find a pale pink color lol. I do have a slight fear that the colors you mentioned would make the army a bit to bright, then again i dont know how much darker the red ink will make it.

You may he surprised! Test it, if it needs to be darker you can just mix up a slightly darker pink base perhaps. Experiment like a proper haemocules!
