Santa's Secret Space Raid - 2014

So, with today's little flurry of announcements, I am only lacking final confirmation on one gift having been sent.  However, if it has been dispatched as planned, then I believe that all torpedoes are in the water, with quite a few having detonated already!

And we still have 3 days before Christmas!  This has never happened before in Commorragh, I'm so excited I'm getting tingles up and down my spine - oh wait, it's just my new combat drugs wearing off

Also, I would like to thank Tengu for my truly exceptional gift. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get my camera to behave itself. I'd just like to say that I'm particularly impressed that you managed to judge the gift to arrive on my birthday too

I will also toss out that though I haven't heard from my giftee - I think...?
My tracking number did confirm delivery about a week ago now, so it should be well in hand.

Hopefully he can confirm sometime soon, Thor, but he did let me know last week re: his own giftee that he had been out of town on work and then delayed on his return, so I figure that he has been at least a little busy with RL.

I cant say anything until I get back to my Subrealm...

On the plus side, my job mostly involves being here just in case, and I have a gribbly new Talos to keep me company
I wonder if I can get him painted by the end of my shift tomorrow?

Some progress made with my present

Stage 1: Black spray undercoat and Chainmail drybrush of appropriate areas



Stage 2: Red Gore and Dheneb Stone base coat



It's probably a bit tight to get him finished tomorrow, but I'll see what I can do...

Yes, I was busy being on my best behavior for relatives...

Whoever gets my gift can keep the scourge and the reaver...Im sure what they will do to them is worst than what I could think up

Stage 3: Shade flesh with watered Chestnut Ink and Nuln Oil, then re-highlight with Deneb Stone (the rider also got some highlights whilst I was waiting for the washes to dry).



Stage 4: First edge highlight on armour plating (Blood Red) and base layer of Dark Angels Green on all pipes and vials.

Having finally gained a free moment when there is sunlight in the frozen north I have taken some photos - albeit not great ones - of Plastikente's excruciatingly generous gift.








Now to find them a name, and write them up on my Kabal, Coven & Cult page.

Im just glad it got there before january. You said no coversions or painted models so i had to do something to suprise you :p

@Barenone - that's crazy! I hope you had some sort of discount.

Meanwhile, I have finished painting my present!

Stage 5: extreme edge highlight of blazing orange, layers of goblin green mixed with increasing amounts of white on the tubes, touch up on the metal, and blue lightning round the barrel of the Incubus' cannon (he felt left out because he left his klaive at home).

The tracking numbers are sent to me, usually, by your anonymous    gifters.  In your cases, I have received a message stating that Ly'khal's has actually been sent and should not be far away, and that Koshi's was going to be sent around the same time after RL had briefly interfered.  I have asked for updates and will let you know as soon I hear anything.

Otherwise, I am only waiting for Tengu and Mr. Pink to confirm that they have received their gifts, which were sent some time ago, and those are the only others that are outstanding. An amazing Raid, so far.

@Plastikente - that is a wonderful paint job you have done, most deserving of such a gift.
