Coven Problems with Landspeeders

Hey everyone,

I recently played my first 7th edition games with a pure coven list (1000P). My only anti-tank were 2 raiders.

My friend tried several Marine-lists and the only problem I had with all his lists were his landspeeders. Having a few lances is all good, but I seriously lack the mid strength shooting to tackle his landspeeders.

Any ideas how to deal with them? I'd really appreciate it, since he recognised the power of his landpeeders, too and doesnt leave home without them

Talos s seem the natural choice - haywire or better yet heat lance

Well, I would tell him not to get too comfortable with landspeeders, the Coven supplement only has 2 sources of AV both of which are expensive, Talos w/HWB or HL, or a Talos beating directly on a vehicle for that matter and a Raider.  Landspeeders will die to everything else rather easily. So gauging landspeeder success against this book isn't the greatest of barometers.

Simply put the supp just doesn't have the AV punch out of the box and will always struggle with it unless you invest heavily into more raiders with your wrack squads or bring a few Talos along.
