Well picked up some new guys today and decided I should probably start a project log so I can get more consistent feed back and have a log to see my progress. Not sure on the title of it, went with eternal since Aeterna = Eternal in Latin. As a note I'm very novice at painting, so any tips or thoughts are greatly welcome. Mainly the log will consist of Dark Elf and Dark Eldar, the two armies I collect, both of which are in their fledgling stages.

So down at my local shop they had these guys in the used bin 8 riders for $18, the list I want for me Elves require a lot of riders so these guys were a steal for the price. Went ahead and cut off the tree roots/viney bits connected to the hooves and legs. Going to prime them either tomorrow or Monday and try to have them painted by the end of the week.
Have an autumn/warm color theme for the Dark Elves use a mix of Game Color and Model Color acrylic paints. Going to make the horses a dark reddish-brown with black manes, the riders cloaks dark grey with terracotta red cloth, bronze metal armor and black/white hair. The bows and bearer pole will be a glossy black. Also if anyone knows where I can get fall leaves for a basing material let me know.
