Terrain and Orks

The riveting continues

My inner Ork approves.

Yesterday's trip to the dollar store has yielded enough parts to make 6 Mekboy dragstas/speedstas (which along with Ramshackle releasing some suiable weapon bits!) mean I now have enough parts to make a truck load of Orky vehicles. I need to take a few weeks off to catch up!

Ooops we're behind the curve here...update from last week!





I've now located a cupola I'm happy with, the Kromlech ones I tried looked great, but were really too tall, the one I've found from an old imperial tank isn't, and looks much better on this.

Progress on the Lungbursta - it still needs some work to make colours on the barrel, but it's supposed to be panzer grey all over. I need to paint in some of the details now and finish the gunner and pintle gun. The gunner has a haked torso, which I hope will help add more colour to an otherwsie drab model, in addition some glyphs should help with that too.

So long with no updates - but that doesn't mean I've not been busy! Today I completed a load of Imperial scenery, and added a commander and pinlte mount to the Lungbursta - photos when they get painted.

And for those that care what I did with the Pegasus kits; all the doors still need to be finished, and I want to build a roof for each of the 3 big buildings, but that's not urgent.













I picked these up recently - also from Pegasus, so prepainted which is great - rubble to match their kits!

Great Stuff! How do you make the rivets?

Rivets are made using a leather punch and a sheet of plastic card.

Awesome, Sir Tainly. That windmill is impressively Orky.

Did you make the last two yourself? They look very complex. That obelisk is awesome, but that generator is awe inspiring.

Thanks - the windmill is from Daemonscape who do lots of cool stuff and the last 2 are from Secret Weapon, I'm just painting them up.

Haven't updated this in a while I'll have a load more after this weekend.

I just wanted to say that the Orky terrain won me a prize at Astronnomi-con! My second ever prize at a tournament - I've now won best Best Painted, Best Terrain and Favourite Opponent, if I only I could actually win at this game too!

Well I got more terrain done...but only just got to start taking photos. More when the light come back!

Here's my first Alien plant terrain WIP - still have to complete the base.

this is some nice terrain, may I ask how an alien planet would look if I were to use a bunch of aquarium plants to make the "Trees" and use huge plants as cover? just basically a huge planet covered in loads of alien plants... Any suggestions? I'm asking you because you can make some great terrain.

Thanks, sorry for taking a while to reply - been ill this week which stopped me taking the photos I wanted to sahre. I'm hoping these will show you how you can m ix aquarium plants, the Aline terrain from Armorcast and other foliage, in this case little bushes taken from a remembrance style wreath. The dollar store had them and they provide more bushes thatn I think I will ever use, If you are trying to make junlge style terrain, do spread the foliage out a bit to leave room for the models to stand - they will still get the cover save as it's area terrain.

Very nice terrain, and the tank is looking quite nice to.

I can't wait to go to the dollar store and buy out their aquarium plants XD.
