1850 DE & E tournament list, NAS.

Right, here it goes. This list is ment to come up against ETC players in a warm up ETC tournament in january. I need to try it, get to know it, know its weaknesses and strengths.

The meta I play in and expect to see in the tournament is usually Tau with missile spam, Eldar with Wave Spam, SM with Centurions/invin star... nothing unusual. There are not any other DE players.

My list is this:

Archon, HoS, Blaster, WWP, Venom + Cannon. (The archon will not deploy in the venom) 200

4 x 5 Warriors + Venom + Cannon 4 x 105

Raider, DL, NS 75 (Archon, Autarch + Fire Dragons goes in her and DS)

2 x Razorwings + DL  2 x 140

3 x Ravagers + 3 DL  3 x 125


Autarch, Fusion gun 80

3 Jetbikes  51

5 x Fire Dragons 110

Wraithknight 240


total: 1831.

The strategy is to DS the Raider with the Archon, Autarch and fire dragons in the second turn along with the razorwings coming in.

I need comments and help from players with tournament experiences. The list is inspired by Heros list, Splintermind, Thors comments on other lists.

Any changes I need to make? I have 19 points left.

Any units you think I need?

Any units/combos I need to look out for?

The list is looking solid to me. Seems like the list is missing a little something, but I can't put my finger on it.

I do like it a lot though. Great AI. Check! Pretty good AT and AA. Check! Not really any waisted upgrades. Check?

What us the HoS on the archon?

I'd like to see night shields on the flyers as it really adds to their durability. Fly on. Shoot the bajesus out of somebody. Get shot. 3+ jink. Fly off board... Repeat. They are by no means necessary, but they do help a lot.

I feel the same Way... I could remove the DL from the raider and give the fire dragons an exarch with fast shot.

The HoS is giving me some psychic defence vs the death Stars incl psykers.

I like the idea of shields on the flyers.

Mech or wave spam could worry you as you only have the ravagers + wraithknight as long range AT turn 1 making his target priority simple.

You could save 10 pts if you swap the archons blaster for haywire grenades. They are better at stripping HPs and as he's with the firedragons you'll be close enough to use them. Also it will give him something to do if they charge a vehicle.

NS are cool but I like to keep upgrades to the bare minimum.
