Anyone play bolt action?

I have played a few games now and I have to say I really like the game. I grew up playing games like close combat and this is very similar to that game. That being said I have started a Russian army. Love the troop spam and i find it hilarious that you can run russian troops without any guns for barely any points. So who else plays?

Bolt Action is faddy, like Dust. dudes were exhorting me to spend money on it and three months later, they all stoppeed. Same thing happened with SAGA. It still gets played here or there but everyone spent $300 getting books and armies and paints and such and played it avidly for about 5 months and then now they are playing Infinity.

So Ive been trying to avoid the faddy games.

Ah, that sucks for you in your area. My circumstances are a bit different we've got some seriously invested people playing. Plus I enjoy WWII models, grew up with them! I got lucky I'm able to spend less than $100 for a 1000 point army. Did you ever play a scenario? I just really enjoy the variable dice draw. Two buddies of mine played 40k like that the other day, they said it was pretty fair even in 40k.

wii is fine. I play Flames of War regular like. Bolt Action just is no Flames of War and it is sort of a tweener game.
