Astra Militarum vs Dark Eldar - 2400pts

The Dark Eldar raid has come to its climax!

The Imperial Guard has been slow to react, but their full force is now ready to move on the Dark Kin. Watch how a meat grinder style army faces off against the scalpel of the dark eldar in this Tactical Escalation mission. The Imperial Guard are one of the toughest match ups for the Dark kin, this was to be a real test of mettle and skill against a very good tournament player, but we played not - optimized lists. Still... priests, commissars and large blobs are a pain to figure out sometimes!.

A few questions:

Did you roll for nightfight from turn 5?

How did the guard blob take out the talos in cc, it has x2+ T to their S, so they can't hurt it - was it a priest that managed to take it out with S6 eviscerator?

Why did you put so many units in reserve? Any time I do that, one or more key units always shows up way too late to influence the game.

Did not roll t5. I always forget. The guardsmen had krack grenades do they used those.

There no longer is a Turn 5 roll for nightfighting, unfortunately. It's a remnant from 6th edition. Now it's either Turn 1 or not at all. I really miss that roll
