New Player: 750pts to get started on

Hi everyone, I've just started 40k and I've chosen dark eldar as my army mainly for the aesthetic and the fluff (being a dark elf fantasy player ) - particularly to the elite kabal warrior theme. I've done some research into the dark kin and I've come up with this as a 750pt list to get me started on.

Archon - blaster/haywire grenades/shadow field/webway portal

4x Incubi
- champion
(archon goes in here)

5x Kabalite warriors
- Blaster
- Venom - splinter cannon

5x Kabalite warriors
- Blaster
- Venom - splinter cannon

5x Scourges
- 3x Haywire blasters

Ravager
- Night shields
- dark lance (2 disintegrator cannons)

I hear incubi are a fairly sub-par choice, but being primarily a fantasy player, I simply can't stand running around and shooting things up, so I chose to put them with an archon who can make them pop up wherever they need to be to chop things up. So far I've already picked up a box of warriors, a venom and the scourges (because they look soooooo awesome!).

I've read over the core rules, but I'm not too familiar with the game system or dark eldar. Any comments on the list? Are these the right units to be picking up for a new player?

You can drop the Blaster on your Archon to free up some points, it wont get much use if your goal is get your incubi and him into combat.

Your troops are a great choice. You'll get a lot of mileage out of your Kabalites and Venoms

Scourges give em 4 Haywire Blasters just because you can!

Ravager. I like ravagers, but I like them to be all or nothing when going between Disentegrators or Dark Lances. Id do with Dark Lances I believe you'll get more use out of them in the long run.

Thanks for the advice! My initial reasoning behind having 2 disintegrators on the ravager was to be able to threaten MEQs and TEQs, thinking that I wouldn't be facing more tank threats that my scourges can handle at this points level (and it saves the 10pts). I guess I'll need to have a few games and try it out with 3 dark lances too as I've yet to have a proper battle.

I'll mainly be playing in my group of friend who have, like me, just made the transition into 40k (they've chosen Tau, Imperial Guard and Necrons).
