Back to DE, 1850 list all corner

Hello everyone,

Last year, I started to paint some Dark Eldar but I rapidly was busy with Fantasy. Now I am back to 40k but I play CSM has my primary army. I have a 1850 points list a just a few more buy to do and it's finish. That's why, I will start again the DE army. I would like to do a list which can take on everything and buy only what I need. I find that, to many time I start something and I just "don't really finish it". So here is the list I made after reading a few of the tactica.

Time to explain. The Dark Artisan will be my Warlord bunker but not only. I like the Talos model and being able to arrive by deepstrike means he will be able to go after what I want to.

The succubus goes with the Grots, give them so AP2 attacks. They all go in a naked Raider and try to find something to assault.
The Incubis are here to follow the Succubus or find some 2+ armor to assault. Not the most competitive but I love the model.
2 boats full of Warriors. Anti-infantry

2 fliers that can take on fliers, hunt tank too.

2 Ravager for some fire support on turn 1  

And 6 Reavers for supporting other units.


I think this army has a little of everything. Please let me know if you have any advice. Thank you.

Hey you use a similar list to one that I usually play. First of all you've made one mistake. You are taking 5 grotesques in a raider, but the grotesques are bulky, meaning you can fit a maximum of 5 in a raider, which then means you can't add a succubus.

I have also found that in an army with a good amount of combat units you usually don't need that many blasts, making the razorwing less of an ideal choice. If you are just using it for tank hunting then you might want to swap it for a voidraven.

I would also drop the night shields from the kabalite raiders, and use the points to give them splinter cannons for a higher damage output and the possibility to shoot at the enemy from a distance.

As for the Voidraven, I was trying to do put 1 + a Razorwing but I can't find the point for it!

And I tought that the night shield was a auto-include on Raider. Having a 4+ behind a forest without jinking is kind of good I think!

the aberration is currently written is 55 points, which would be way to much for what it has in upgrades. So I'm not sure how you calculated that.

You're right about the cover save in forests, however without long range shooting it is fairly difficult in my experience to get a good cover save like that. Maybe it works in your experience though.

I check about the points and an Aberration with Siscorhand is 55 points. For the night shield, I tend to play on table with a lot of terrain (Ruine and Forest), and I think that will make it good. Once I start to have an army I will try both configuration.

I didn't play yet with DE, this thread is for to plan my purchase. Anyway, thanks for the advice.
