1500 point DE and Harlequin competitive list

Hi,

For several months I was trying to make competitive DE close combat list, what was realy hard. I realase that i nead shooting list whit stron counter attack, so i make something like this.

What do you think? Do you suggest other counter-attack unit than quins? Maby Grots with Urien, Voidravens or Dark Artisan? In my meta we have Flayrants, Necrons, Grey Knights, Drop Pods SM and Centurion Star.

Harlequins will give me: a) warlord traits, b) counter-attack, c) psyking protection d) 9x S6 attacks from DJ and Starwever. Of corse quins will stay outside Starvever, and will be running alone

I run a VERY similar list.   1 Small thing, as you said your Cast of Players cant fit in the Starweaver.   Drop it and add a Fast Attack Raider.   This will give them a ride.

Cast of players has crusader and fleet and thus averages about a 5 inch run so it could keep up with your army at combat speed without the raider. Just food for thought.

Armor of misery......

That is something I have done. Raider for the Caste of Players. Throw the a Succubus in the unit with the Caste of Players.

Succubus with Archite Blade, Armor of Misery, WWP

Works great against tightly packed units. When you deep strike, Get right in between two units, the Death Jest fires at one unit and you just cause enough wounds to another unit. The Group the Death Jester fires at is at -6 while the other group is -4 If you can get 2 units close enough.

Just last night I did it and ran 2 Squads of veterans off the board, then in the following turn the Succubus split and attacked 2 other Guard squads. So in 2 turns that one unit wiped out 4 Guard Squads.

Yes that doesn't work against Nids and Fearless units.

Also thought about thowing in a Haemonculi with Archangel of Pain but then you are really getting up there in points.
