The Malevolent Eye

This will be where I record the process of building the Kabal of the Malevolent Eye and the associated Cult of the Lidless Eye.



That will kick things off. It is, or will be when I complete it, the icon for the Malevolent Eye. This is the first pass. It is a corruption of the Eye of Isha. Eventually it will be rather colorful and suitable to the darker background on which it is to be set.

If all goes well some miniature images will appear here before too long.

For me, names, icons, and color schemes are the most difficult parts of creating armies. I can model, kitbash, and scratch build with ease...and my painting is decent enough to suit me. But the names, icons, and color schemes give me fits.

I like this eye...this Malevolent Eye.

These were done with the old Citadel Metallics box set of paints. Gold and black were the 'unifying' elements.

Certainly was not a great painter then. We'll see if I am better now.

I like the eye icon. Looks spooky.

I'm not sure the gold and black unifying is working for me, but like you said, things change over time.

I look forward to seeing more.

Ah, I see the confusion. That metallic combo scheme was the old one I was using..originally a very jewel-like combination. They are currently being stripped for re-painting.

It is not the current scheme I am tinkering with, which will be rather..different. Suffice to say nothing like the above pics.

I hope to have some in-progress pics up here this week.
