Personally, its all about having fun. Decide what part of the game makes it fun for you and keep that your priority. Between collecting, modeling, painting, theme building, playing the actual game, or competitively playing, there are plenty of opportunities to keep this game fun. I enjoy the modeling and conversion part the best. I also really enjoy playing themed armies, armies with a back story. Cool part is, they can actually be decently competitive. On a side note, I hope you enjoy spending money cause this hobby can get expensive. I advise buying models, build and paint them, then buy more. If you buy and buy and buy, you will be overwhelmed with how much work you just gave yourself and you may change your mind on which modeles you want to include in your army. Hope this helps.
