1850 Dark Harlequins

Hey there, so I finally got a bunch of harly models and got most of them built.

I've been thinking of ideas for allying them with my dark eldar for quite a while now, using some of the formations and/or detachment etc. So I figured I'd put together a list using just the detachment for now. I've been playing Dark Eldar with Eldar wraithknight and wraithguard allies a lot lately, with the lists doing really well.

So this list immediately feels way... lighter and less threatening - but maybe im just undervaluing the harlequin stuff - any advice would be greatly appreciated on this first draft! The most obvious/biggest weakness for me is definitely anti-air. I could try to get in 1-2 razorwings
(although I'm not facing against many flyers yet, one vendetta and 1-2 nightscythes. Thought a friend of mine will be starting tyranids soon, so I can probably expect to see some hive tyrants, but thats way far down the line)

The 2 shadowseers are for warp charges to help make sure I get off Veil on the 10 man troupe, then the shadowseer without mask goes with the scourges could use veils to make them essentially immune to shooting as they can stay at 20"-24" or I can let that shadowseer go with the 10 man troupe as well and have 3 rolls on telepathy for potential invisibility - the mask shadowseer will take veil and roll 1 on telepathy, taking psychic shriek if the result isnt good.

The big thing I would say is ditch the DJ. You want to be using the rising crescendo rule which means no shooting. For the 195 points you have I can get a third shadow seer along with more weapons for the troupes or a Razorwing plus weapons for the troupes. The DJ look great on paper but after a few games I am struggling to justify them

The idea of the DJs were to remain behind in the starweavers and just add more shuriken shots to the starweaver.

I feel like I'm too light on shooting and light/medium vehicle killing with all the assault elements. But I guess I could remove them to get in a razorwing, though I'd ideally want 2 razorwings then - as one flyer will just get removed easily.

I quite like the idea of having the DJ stay in the Starweaver whilst the troupe goes out and does its business, I might have to try it at some point myself. If you do decide to go with this idea please could you get back to us and let us know if you find this tactic useful.

To be honest I think the blasters in the gun boat is a waste. You already have the DL on the raider. The realy trick with the raider is to get it into 12" range with the racks. a blaster in it just splits the role of the unit. I believe you would be better off with a Nightshield on the raider because then you can more effectively get your unit into that range and jink all day. Any turn they shoot a blaster into a vehicle is one turn that 9 other warriors aren't shooting. that's a lot of points.

Also giving that 10 man troupe a WWP might be a good idea if you can find the points. Droping it off right where you need it as opposed to footslogging it might work better for you.
