1000pt starter

So I want to collect 1000pts to start with, a shooty mainly kabalite army.
The types of armies I will be facing are a mainly drop pod salamander space marine, space wolves, craftworld eldar and tau.

There's a couple of reasons for only going to 1000pts to start 1. I don't want to spend large amounts of money at this time. 2. there will be opportunities to ally with one of the craftworld players for four player 2000pt games vs salamanders and space wolves.

the list I came up with was this.

HQ  
Archon  
blaster, power sword, clone field , haywire grenades
webway portal    
(rides with the trueborn)

Elites
x5 kabalite trueborn
x4 blasters
raider, dark lance, night shields.

Troops
x10 kabalite warriors
sybarite, splinter cannon
raider, dark lance,  night shields, splinter racks

x10 kabalite warriors
sybarite, splinter cannon,
raider, dark lance,  night shields, splinter racks

Fast attack
x3 reavers
arena champion
blaster
cluster caltrops


Any good? or is there a better way to make a 1000pt list?

Looks pretty mean to me.

Only personal preference but I think night shields are a little too expensive so I never run them. A 4+ Jink is still pretty darn good.

Also not sure about just 3 reavers. They are very squishy and not very effective at just 3.

See if you can get 5 scourges in with 4 haywire blasters. They are an awesome anti tank unit and are also very mobile. I always run at least one unit in all my lists .

Drop all night shields and reavers and you should have enough for the scourges

What is the point of the Sybarites? Are you giving them haywire grenades, if not I would drop them.

heh I thought they'd be good for the extra Ld, I kind of forgot about the unshakeable nerve for being in a transport until you mentioned the sybarites.

I take it if the raider gets shot down the squad is boned anyway and extra Ld won't make much difference?
