| Bearing in mind, I find Wracks to be a terrible unit choice and don't suit my playstyle at all, so they will probably just end up trying to camp 2 objectives, does anyone consider 100 points (the Wrack cost) of value to be able to Null Deploy in the unlikely event (my meta) of coming up against a Droppod army or something similar that can assault me first turn with no comeback? I see the D3 First Blood thing as a small and unlikely bonus.
I played against Eldar yesterday and got beaten to the starting roll, so was destined to go second. To avoid being tabled before I got to do anything, I deployed a single Lhamaean behind LOS cover, knowing he would survive turn 1. He died turn 2 and then most of my army came on the same turn. I tabled the Eldar player at the end of Turn 7. Isn't this the same idea(l) as [near]Null Deployment?

| You tabled him? What did he take what did you take and what did you do? | |

| He was using the old codex. It was the last game in a 4 month league. He had 3 Wave Serpents, 2 units of Wraithguard, a Wraithknight, a Crimson Hunter, a Spiritseer, a large unit of Dire Avengers and 2 units of Guardians. I took the DA formation, which killed 1 model and then died (lol). 3 Venoms with Kabalites, each with a blaster. 1 Razorwing, which chased the Crimson Hunter and made him jink every single turn. 2 units of HayScourges. 3 Ravagers, 1 of them 3x Dissies and the other 2 with Lances. As always, a single Lhamaean. I just won by out positioning him and otherwise, we just had a shootout | |

| But I guess you are right about the null deployment thing. But only if you can be sure to survive. I wouldn't try that near null deployment against guard. | |

| The minimum cost of 230 points (wracks, Venoms, and mandatory venom upgrades) is a steal for the Scalpel. The option for total Null Deployment is immensely powerful in my opinion. | |

| Still spending 100 points on 10 terrible models. You think 100 points is well priced for the option to null deploy? | |

| Easily. Those models are also quite durable. You can easily Null deploy entirely (even if you went first) without fear of getting tabled turn 1. An Ossefactor can be a big help in picking up those potential extra VPs, too.
I take them in every list with the points for them, and I've never regretted it.
