Anyone use Syberites with Agonisers?

So, I'm curious as to whether anyone includes sybarites with agonisers (or even power weapons) in their warrior squads?

I ask mainly because I remember our DE player in 5th (prior to selling me his army) used to have Agoniser-sybarites in all his gunboat squads.

No. I'd use them with Haywire Grenades and I have magnetized Phantasm launcher to their backs. But that's it. I don't want them in close combat.

I don't use sybarites ever. The point expenditure is too great to justify their use.

I was wondering about doing it to give my squads a bit more character, but 35pts apiece... ugh.

Absolutely not worth it, in my opinion. The only time I'd consider it would be to get more PGLs if I was running a Freakshow in a guaranteed game against orks or MSU guard.

Back in days, sybarites and agonizers was a god for the pts cost. Back with old old codex in editions past we wanted as many agonizer on the field as possible. Now however most dark elder leave their agonizers in pile of “cool warger we don´t really use”

Very accurate. I read the rules for Agonizers and was like, 'well, now I have to cut them off all my hekatrices.' Then I read the rules for wyches...

Generally, I don't, sadly for me, if my Kabalites get into melee combat, I generally assume they are SOL, I would prefer as much firepower for as cheap of points as I can go. This is still coming from me, a novice perspective, but still.

Lmao! In a side note, maybe the Agonizer is a good way of fazing out your opponent.. Might second guess trying to engage in an assault.

I think that would be more useful if the squad had Shrouded or somesuch. As it stands, most enemies don't even need to bother with assault - they can just bolter warriors to death.

Yeah, but they are weak to any type of combat, ranged fire they can rely on poison, which works, but when it comes to close combat, warriors have higher initiative, but their strength can almost guarantee them being destroyed, an agonizer sure would kind of even the close combat up, 4+ poison with two attacks, could be a game changer, but still hard to say if it'd be worth that single scenario, I usually have my squad leaders with slightly different color schemes, and funny enough, it has intimidated an opponent once, he asked what character that guy was.

Weird, I had to cut all the Wyches off my agnoizers
