How to kill a stompa!?

This is not a something I normally have problems with (have one friend with a Ork stompa and he doesn't take it often).

But after our last game were a faced one. I really don't see how I could have kill it. It has 12 hull points and "it will not die" and it had a ork-mech inside repairing it!?

Yes you can try just to ignore it. But the damn thing shoot 5-8 weapons of every turn and move 12"!? I don't really see anything in my Dark eldars taking more than 1 or 2 turns in close combat with the thing!

Do you guys have any ideas??

Three units of scourges with heat lances next to it?

Block it's movement and go for malestrom with MSU. Kill everything else. Not much else you can do. Do not try to kill it as it's quite unkillable with out D weapons.

Maybe witches in close combat to tie is up?

If you don't mind "cheating", I've been taking 3 Units of Swooping Hawks against something like this. Or a Revenant Titan

I faced one, and during, we had a miscalculation, forgot super heavies don't go with the basic vehicle penetration table, so I destroyed it with a dark lance from a ravager, but I feel your pain, first turn he used it, It killed a scourge squad most of a warrior squad and a ravager outright. I hate it when people bring apocalypse formation units into a normal game.. Like I guess maybe heat lance Scourge and maybe some VRB's to tie it up, it would have to skyfire and 4 void lances would at least do something, otherwise, I'd honestly say yeah, pull some apocalypse eldar units if possible. :/

I was thinking about take an eldar ally next time. We always agree or super heavy and other extremes before we meet and play the game. Eldar have units like firedragens, wraiths and other great units we leak... I am not a fan of super heavys or gargantuan things. I play for strategy not monster battles...

Looking at the eldar I wish wyches were like banshees or scorpions... Just a few things like ws 5-6, poison weapons and maybe two attacks would make them good.

fluff implies they should have 2 attacks base.

Depending on the size of the game. Titan Hunters with lances. Spam haywire on scourges in a Murdering Flock formation...most places allow you to use this formation. Gives you a non scatter deep strike with 2 units of scourges and 2 units of hellions. If anything you'll tie it up for awhile.

If you really just want it dead - a WWP with 10 wraith guard with cannons all but guarantees its destruction

Not really. Stompa should have a lot of boyz that can bublble wrap it against 12" guns. Altough it hinders its movement witch is a small victory in it self.

Wraithknight is much better with its 36" D-guns. I used Wraithhost to battle Stompa, but in the end it came down on rolling that "6" on round 4. So not very fun game.

Well life as an Dark Eldar player is not easy at the moment.

36 dark light shots (without cover) just to strip down his 12HPs. With the damage table rolls it should be less.
You need 0,6 haywire shots\attacks per each lance shot to do the same thing.

If you need to blow it you can. But if you expect doing it in one turn... It's not realistic.

Edit: if it has a 5+ cover or inv save, then it's 54 lance shots instead... So avoid his cover or erase the force field before. If not doable, then kill everything else and ignore him.

Ignore, msu and if you have some minor speed bumps throw them at it. Certain units are best dealt with in that fashion with our army. Wraithknights, riptide, stompas and knights to a lesser degree. There's always the eldar solutions to most or our shortfalls but it's so satisfying to know you won with straight DE.
