Help for a noob

Hello, I'm starting to play Warhammer with my friend we are doing 500 points. I'm wanting help with what units I should use. I have bought some units already, I have:

1 Venom
1 homunculus
10 wracks
5 scourges

I don't need/want to use all of these but I would like to not have to buy a whole new army.

Well as a start wrlcome to the best place not of this earth.
You have some good models to play. If your looking to play that is not a bad starting list to play with your freind. Split the wracks into two squads and go. For starter games don't worry to much about legal army lists. Just go to learn the rules. If you want a legal list I would buy the "splinter pack.." the box that comes with 10 warriors and a raider. And another venom.

This gives you 2 troops as warriors split to groups of 5 and go in venom then have 9 wracks in the raider with the hamey then have surges flying around. Should be around 750 is points

Hamey. 80
9 wracks. 90
Raider with dark lance. 60
5 Warrior with blaster. 55
Venom splinter cannon 65
5 Warrior with blaster. 55
Venom splinter cannon 65
Scourges 85 (could be off here don't have book atm.)
Total 555
Add in aditional equipment to make this last points. For 500 just remove the scourge or lesson the number of wracks to 5 and drop some equipment.

Why should you drop them? They're great!

For 500 pts their expensive. Also hard to fit with what he has as then he is foot slogging wracks or no wracks and a hamey with nothing to do. But at 750 can add them in for AT
