| Hi All,
Glad to have found this site. I am completely new to miniature wargaming (I'm an old LARPer). Decided to get into 40K and picked the Dark Eldar as my first army. Really just chose them cause I thought they had the best looking models. Now I'm starting the process of painting and learning the rules. I joined an escalation group to help me get the army finished (500 point, painted army due each month). Want to learn strategy and battle tactics and all the other fun stuff that goes with the DE. I'm looking forward to joining the fray! | |

| Welcome Dark Eldar are a hard army to learn but very rewarding once you have mastered them. I agree their models are def some of the best gw has produced.the escalation league is a great way to grow your force, both in a gaming sense and getting models painted. If you want to get some feedback on your stuff, then starting a project log to keep yourself motivated and get some input from the community here is a great way to achieve these, and we have some accomplished modelers and gamers willing to hand over their hard won experience in exchange for some slaves and buckets of pain SC | |

| It's not arrogance when one is truly superior, then it is just truth. | |

| Having a reason to paint is really really potent. It really helps develop a rhythm and a desire to get producing. Strategy will come with playing a lot of games and reflecting on battles either by asking your opponents for advice after or considering what could have gone differently.
Painting in general will improve over time and come naturally, while for some players battle tactics is a never ending pursuit.
Yay! | |

| Welcome to Commaragh! This is the place to be and to read through if you have any questions or want assistance in building your Dark Eldar Army.
Going from being a Space Wolves Player to a Dark Eldar player has been a real struggle for me personally. Dark Eldar are hard to play, but you get the hang of what you need to do to survive and win the day and when you defeat an enemy with a "underpowered" army, it feels good. Revitalizes those old Dark Eldar bones.
Good Luck and Welcome! | |
