With some minor modifications, you can make another using the front of a shredder from a Kabalite Warriors box, using a splinter rifle as the main section IIRC.

Venom Spam is probably our strongest list in mono Dark Eldar, but you'll want to play with a raider or two in many lists.
With Covens, Corpsethief is good; it is really scary and full of hurt. Have a look at the Dark Artisan formation too, its cheaper both to buy and fit into an army, and the Haemy can give you a webway portal so they can get where they need to be instantly.

Play them! They're one of the best units in our current codex.
I suggest one squad of 5 if you're playing 500 points, and two squads of 5 if you're playing 1000 points. You can equip one with 4 haywires and the other with 4 blasters/heat lances. I prefer blasters for the extra strength and ability to stay further away from the target, but they're both ok choices.
If you did decide to start collecting Dark Eldar, I'd recommend a Battleforce and a squad of Scourges and a Venom. This will give you a mixed bag of things to build, paint and play with.
