| I frequently use all 7 of mine and still find myself wanting more even in 1500 point games. They're one of my favorite units in the game. | |

| Not just venoms make MSU viable, but also raiders. A mix of cheap lance raiders + venoms is quite nasty. A RSR detachment can easily fit 8 venoms and 6 raiders into 1500pts to swarm the enemy. Or why not take a double CAD for obsec? | |

| Do you put 5 or ten dudes into those Raiders? Or none at all? | |

| Not that venom spam (and/or raider spam) isn't effective, it is, but i got bored with it years ago. I own 7 venoms btw. Now I only take 3 venoms max even at 2000pts and am having way more fun than when i relied on skimmer spam to win. Mushkilla's and then Skari's bat reps show clearly how DE can win consistantly with few (if any) venoms. | |

I just started running a double CAD myself instead of the Realspace Raid Detatchment. Would highly recommend. No idea why I didnt do this sooner as ObSec has had an impact on every game I've played since. I've been spamming Venoms for ages and love how they can swarm and overwhelm opponents but I don't usually run many raiders. How do you run the raiders? Splinter racks, full of warriors with a lance on front?

| Yeah stock, dissie Raiders are surprisingly decent. They're both cheaper to buy and tougher to kill than a Venom by virtue of the extra hull point. Having access to a few AP2 guns is not bad either. | |

Agreed... I took them purely as cheap transports and was pleasantly surprised when they started killing stuff, they compliment the mass splinter of venoms nicely.
