| A drop pod with guys comes screaming down. 2 flammer guys in that tactical squad take aim at my venom with 5 guys inside. He rolls 2D6 for total wounds and rolls a 10. Is that 10 wounds, or only 5 because I only have 5 guys in the venom? | |

| It's 10 wounds, so 10 saves (and/or FNP). | |

| Its 10 Wounds. Yes you can overkill a squad. Flamers are the bane of our transports since most flamers ignore saves as well.

| Interestingly rolling a '6' on the 'No Escape' roll does allow the flamer to hit more models than are in the squad, which would not occur if they were on the ground. I miss the days when you could fire a flamer or throw a grenade into the vision slit of a bunker or bastion for the same effect | |

Excellent, I thought that was one of the rules that didn't make it into 7th ed. Maybe it was just the grenades through the slit that was dropped.

| "No escape" is horrible but do note that it's ten hits, not ten wounds. He still needs to roll to wound at ST4 AP5. It also says that the hits are randomly allocated, so he can possibly double or triple up on single models. It's horrible but some luck can see models surviving even in situations like this. | |

| Randomly allocated is slightly different to how you described Korona - say the 10 hits rolled up as 7 wounds. If there was a Sybarite in the vehicle, and the first wound was randomly allocated to him, then he would need to look out sir! or feel no pain until either he dies or there is no more wounds left. Only once he dies is another model randomly selected. | |

| I have always wondered why we cannot use our Flickerfield save vs flamers. My understanding was it "hid" the vehilcle from view.
When I played this in a game, I had to call the store owner for a rule ruling (guy was trying to be TFG during the game). It made me laugh, thinking of the vehicle flickering out of view, but the guys inside still being perfectly viable.
I cant help but picture a squad of warriors "floating" into battle, completely visible when their ride is invisible. Does the pilot also go invisible, or is he just "sitting" there?
Lol... | |

| Not really a TFG issue, in my opinion. Flickerfield doesn't effect passengers. It's a save the vehicle gets, regardless of the supporting fluff. Passengers get their own saves. Nothing more, nothing less.
Whether it makes sense or not based on the fluff of how the shield works, that's how the actual rule works.
