If you're using a cad, does this special rule count for all units or just for troops? The German version says all units and that has cost me the game. Could you upload a picture of the English version page with the rule on it please?

Pretty darn sure it says troops only in the US version. I verified this morning before I posted. Just walked into work, if no one has posted in 6 hrs. I'll throw it up for you.

I found an errata that confirms this that should make my tie in the campaign a 9:4 victory for me!

I wish all units in a CAD was objective secured, do you know how many reavers I'd run?

That said, good win!

Aye. I double checked the UK version, and it does say Troops only.
Good win though!

I thought it was troops and dedicated transports?

I thought so too, but the German version says all units. The faq clarifies that indeed only troop units get objective secured.

Weird...

I was under the understanding that troops and raiders could secure objectives?

Is it JUST troops?

It's just troops. However, dedicated transports are considered to be of the same force org slot as the unit they are taken for, so any dedicated transport that is taken for a troops choice is considered to be a troop and thus has objective secured.

Everyone can or nearly everyone can secure objectives. But troops and their dedicated transports get the special rule "objective secured" which makes them trump non troop units in terms of claiming objectives. But only if they are part of the CAD. The German version without errata says that all units of the cad get this special rule.
