Dark Eldar Update?

The Crisis and the Ghost were the only actual Tau battlesuit models in early 5th. The Commanders and even the Broadsides were really just Crisis suits with a few extra (metal) bits attached.
So, it kind of makes sense that an artist back then would picture the concept that would eventually become the Riptide as just a bigger version of the Crisis.

You think so? It's difficult for me to tell how far away it's supposed to be, so judging the size is difficult. Anywhere from twice the size of a firewarrior to the size of a gragantuan creature seems reasonable to me, based on the picture.

I don't know, but I DO like the spiny claw thing protruding from said suit's chest, as it should be!

One thing that I would like in an Update honestly is our characters back, I LOVE Lady Malys and her story, if we do a campaign it could be her over taking Vect as well.

If I only get one thing, let it be Sliscus.

I agree. Sliscus needs to come back.

I don't especially miss Malys or the Decrapitator but Vect, Sliscus and Baron were great.

Lady Malys for fluff wise and now with Psychic Powers she be great.

I never cared much for Malys, but I liked all the other ones. The "Decrapitator" as you call him had some of the coolest fluff in 40k, but just had awful rules. I'd like to see him come back, along with better mandrake rules in general. Great models, great fluff, but they just can't seem to get the rules right....so easy too...just give them the daemon special rule. Done.

I remember back in 4th edition, I decided to go for an interesting army rather than the standard skimmer spam. I went to a tournament with 30 Mandrakes and Decapitator. I remember the tournament organiser saying at the start of the event that he had to proxy the list to try it out just to see if it was possible to win with.

It was fun to play, and interesting to have 9 markers wandering around the board with Mandrakes threatening to jump out at people. Remarkably I finished second overall, and top on game points, which was a bit of a shock to everyone, me included.

Decapitator from memory killed one Marine from 5 games, as neat as it was for him to pop up at a critical moment. I remember one opponent with Grey Knights who looked really uncomfortable as 30 Mandrakes and Decapitator appeared on him, only to discover how weak he was when the dice were rolled (and then kill him with a single trooper's melee attacks).
