PostSubject: Dark Eldar, Haemonculous, and Harlequins    Dark Eldar, Haemonculous, and Harlequins I_icon_minitimeTue Aug 16 2016, 01:30

The idea is to have Dark Artisan and Heroes Path along with a Dark Eldar force capable of null deloyment. Makes use of my raiders, and lacks venoms of which I currently have none.

Other than the Heroes Path all my models are circa 2000 sculpts

Would drop the liquifier guns for mask of secrets on the shadowseer.

I would either run the bikes will all heat lances or all blasters, and I prefer the heat lances on bikes.

Personally I would drop the nightshields on the ravager and give it lances, you have alot of pure infantry killers but could use an extra push on the transport cracking.

Then add a soul trap + haywire grenades on the Archon. The soul trap is pretty random for usefulness but it's pretty cool when it works and the Archon with huskblade is already pretty expensive and random, you might as well go in 10 more points.
If nothing else the haywire grenade can be thrown the turn you deep strike in, also you may find yourself up against a strange list and decide it's more important to use your webway portal on the bikes or scourges to melt a nasty vehicle in which case you'll be happy to have that extra haywire shot.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've come up with a different version, very similar, this one has less wargear(sorta) and shoehorns in another Talos to back up and benefit from the Dark Artisan.

Also I equipped scourge with haywire instead for more versatile anti-armor.

I would find 10-20 points somewhere and give your taloi either Chain Flails or Ichor injectors. That way they will have two cc's thus an extra attack with the bonuses from upgrades. WinWin

Why both a shadow field and The Armour of Misery?

Thats a good suggestion. I will do that.

The archon can use the shadow field to tank the inevitable raider explosion or overwatch for the incubi, and then still has a save for himself once it fails.

It was about the only thing that went my way last game.

That and my Solitaire one shot a landraider crusader.

Otherwise I got obliterated.

Some deepstrike mishaps and Cegorach playing tricks with my dice rolls.

I think the MSU is a good idea in theory, but I didnt have enough firepower in anyone spot, and might try a couple of splinter barges instead

I like the Dark Artisan because it can tank, but it didnt do anything productive beyond drawing fire for a lot of points.
