1250 pts, against Tau

I played a few game with a tau friend. In the last ones, I used the dark artisan, with delight. But, I want to use another type of army.

I found that the idea of the raider spam was nice, so I forged my army on that.

As I don't expect him to use a lot of vehicles, I focussed on the disintegrators more than dark lances. The mandrakes are there to be deployed on objectives and distract his Ignore Cover weapon / markerlight from my reavers and raider.

I haven't chose my warlord yet. On a jetbike, it would be good, but with ignore cover, I'm a little affraid to put my warlord on a fragile character. If I choose the kabalite, he have a little protection from the venom.

For the remaining points, I'm not sure what to take. I would have liked grots, but I don't have any *sad*.

Personally I think having ObSec is just too big an advantage to loose out on. I would recomend using a CAD and just shelling out the extra 40 pts to make all your raiders ObSec. Then use the FA slots to get single man units of Beastmasters for added distractions XD.

But if you are set on the RSR....

As an aside, I would have expected the DA to not do so great vs the fishmen. With those markerlights all targeting a single unit, any amount of plasma should have just melted you.

He castled his army very tight, so when I dropped and got in close quarter, I could mow through most of his army. The first round of shooting made a lot of damage, but I survived. Overwatch killed the cronos, but the remaining survived and it was too late, after that.
