Greetings my fellow kinsmen.
I am a relatively new Archon whom is planning the future of his realspace raids.
I plan on facing Mon' Keigh of all types. As well as our ancient mechanic enemy and our craftworld cousins.

Based on a fair bit of reading and thinking I have come up with this list, kindly give me your opinions.

1x Archon with Agonizer, Blaster, armour of misery and shadowfield.
1x unit of 4 Incubi riding with the Archon in a Venom with 2 splinter cannons.

2x Units of 5 trueborn in venoms with dual cannons. These will be blasterborn.
The Dracons equipment I need some help with.

2x Units of 10 Kabalites in radiers with Dark lance, Aethersails and Splinterracks
These will have a splintercannon and a blaster.

1x Razorwing Jetfighter with Disintegrator cannons, splinter cannons and monoscythes.

2x Units of 6 reavers, 2 cluster caltrops and 2 blasters.

2x Units of 5 scourges with solarite. These will all have carbines as I want them to fill out my infantry hunting, because my list has quite decent Armour hunting, If I am correct.

1x Nightshielded Ravager with triple dark lance and aethersails.

Archon with Incubi - correct, however you may want to replace the Blaster with a Blast Pistol. The Agoniser is not Specialist, so take a Pistol for that lovely extra attack (seeing as you're running with a combat unit). You reduce your firing range, but I think its worth it.

Trueborn - don't bother with the Dracon. Its wasted points.

Kaballites - don't bother with Aethersails. Flat Out is rarely used, especially as it prevents you from firing.
Scourge - drop the Solarite. Almost completely useless.

Ravager - again, its a gunboat. Aethersails are pretty much useless.

I like that you have kept the Razorwing as an AI vehicle, too many people put the DL on them, and think it makes it AT. Its like putting lipstick on a pig. *shakes head*

But I digress.

IMO Incubi are not that great a bodyguard (dispite the fluff). You are putting about 300 pts in a single unit, armoured with 2HP and a 5++ flickerfield. Then they jump out and are T3. Everyone you face will blast this from the sky turn 1. Incubi are Ok on their own (they dont need an IC to babysit), but its too tempting to load them up with lots of points. Dont fall for that trap.

I will second Squidmaster that you dont need the sargents in the squads.

Lastly, give your scourges some special/heavy weapons please. That is the whole point of them.

Ah oh well, Ill take that into mind
But since Id rather have my scourges as AI, how would splinter cannons work for them? Im thinking that 4 shots at the same range as the shardcarbines might be fine?

What do you want your archon used for? I would try and cheapen him a little by removing the blaster if you want him for melee.

Scourges aren't as good of AI as you might think. 80 points for 15 shots at 18", or just pay the 65 pts for a venom with 36". Haywaire blaster those suckers.

How do you plan on sing the gunboats? With the FAQ they are very vulnerable unless you plant them in terrain, at which point they are too short of range IMO.

I think your AA/AI balance is good. Make sure you have either melee or medusae in the army for dealing with stealth/shrouded enemies.

I like this list! Do you plan on deepstriking anything?

Well My archon I did plan on using as an assassin, and since he has grenades he would help the incubi. I planned on switching the blaster for a blast pistol. They were going to be deep struck, since that would help with the survivability of the venom and the squad, hitting key targets.

Now the scourges I am having trouble with, at this point Im thinking about replacing them with either another ravager or a reaver squad. But I have to ponder on that.

My Gunboats purpose are to drown infantry in splinterfire, since I tend to encounter rather large squads of infantry, plus the dark lance and blaster giving them a failsafe for vehices or MEQs.

Now I was planning on eventualy deepstriking the blasterborn, sure it would neglect some splinterfire turn 1, but it would potentally wreathe havoc at turn 2.

Sourges dont have relentless, so if you arm them with a heavy weapon (or salvo in the case of the SC) they will be snap shooting when you DS them or whenever the need to move. With a max 36" range, you are not so far away that you will never need to move.

I personally have not been able to make them effective (balancing range/power/cost), so I would vote to just replace with reavers. Ravagers just seem to miss whenever you need to kill something.

I have been figuring.

And I think I will keep one 5 man squad of scourges with haywire blasters.

And instead I will have 3 6-man units of Reavers.

The rest stays the same, would that be more effective?

Haha, "more effective". Really depends on your oponent and your skill Razz Play a few games and let us know what works for you, and we can help direct you from there bud.
