Wracks from left-over Talos sprues...

I was playing around with the Talos sprues (A wealth of DE bitz-goodness), and had a thought; I can put some of these bitz together to make Mini-Talos, which I could use as Wracks. I imagine the Haemonculi leading my Coven had her understudies put these together as homework assignments/surgical assitants. These three will accompany the "lucky" Haemonculi who depolys the Webway Portal for the other beasties to arrive.

As you can see, they're a mix of Talos forearms (the bodies), Talos masks as "faces", as attropied Talos arms as, well, arms. They're held aloft by the same vials/doodads as the full-sized Talos/Chronos...

Looks like DE servoskull... Like it. 3 per box? Nice.

IMHO only thing I would change is their "flyer stand", that one can be made from thick paper clip. Would look a lot better.

Love the idea, looks very cool and I look foward to seeing these painted...

They would benefit a lot from a thin pin instead of the plastic rod for elevation.
I think number two is my favourite.

Sadly, I was short on thin metal pins for the flying "rod", so what's a poor Fleshcrafter to do? Shave down sprue left-over from the same Talos frame... lol. From experience, the rods won't be as visible once they're pained black and the model is painted (Badly, in my case... lol).

They look wrack.

Had to say it. Seriously they look great and after I am done making my Talos/Cronus I may make these or work on 4 Grot using Rat Orges.

BUt I would never replace Wracks with those creations TBH. Could be fun transforming it to a token carrier :p.

When one has many of the "normal" wracks in one's Coven, one tends to experiment a bit more...

Yeah.. sadly the bulks of the looks are for actually having the bulk of it painted, and in ONE scheme..lol

The other guys at the FLGS have a motley Marines army (3-4 different colored units, all called "Sapce wolves"), Grey Knights that are plastic grey, black templars that are primed black... aw hell, you get the idea... lol

Good job. I wonder if You don't want to experiment with washes (not necessary from GW)/diliuted paint to "blend" Your paint scheme? Colour composition is good but some highlights (mostly red and skin) look a little like drybrush (or Your camera make them looks that way).
