Returning to the game

Hi there, my name is Sess.

Dark eldar is my favorite army and I started to play them throughout 3rd edition when I was much younger and played until 5th edition and stopped partway through 5th edition. I came back to the game this year and have been amazed by our new models that have been released since 5th edition. I have tons of old 3rd edition models and some of them have their charms such as the old talos robo-scorpion model, some of them just can't compare to the new ones (old grotesques vs new). I also play khorne daemonkin as well.

I have a pretty sizeable army and mainly play casual games that are semi-competitive in our play group. I don't really have any plans to go to tournaments or anything like that but we do tend to build our lists semi-competitively, we try to limit ourselves from being too cheesy though. For models I pretty much have every unit in the book but have a LOT of painting to do.

I am in a similar boat. Have an old Wych Cult army I have been pulling out again. Pewter figures everywhere! The new model range is amazing. One of my favorite updates are the mandrakes. There is no comparison from old to new. The army as a whole looks great.

New mandrakes are pretty awesome. Grotesques were also a pretty big upgrade from this:

Personally I don't like the new grotesques so I converted vampire crypt horrors into them.
