| So this is a list i took for a game just as i love the models and want to have a nice close combat unit in a game. Dark Eldar Archon - husk/pistol/shadow field/soul trap Succubus - Glaive/pistol/armour of misery
5 Warrior in venom with 1 blaster 5 Warrior in venom with 1 blaster
3 reavers with 1 heatlance
Ravager with lances
Harlequins Cast of players Inriams Spectre Shadowseer lvl 2 mask of secrets 8 troupe 1 master all with caress's
Heroes Path Jester standard Shadowseer lvl 2 Solitaire standard
then i add in the 3 new characters from Triumvirate of Ynnead
the obvious tactic is cast of players be joined by archon/succubus & the 2 from Triumvirate and just foot slog it across destroy anything they hit in combat with the harlequin primas power to try head off the shooting they attract. If i get lucky on santic for +1 inv great if not i not worried
Now i have changed the list due to new characters but otherwise i max out the cast of players and have harlequin jetbikes zooming around with more ravagers/venoms etc
I dont see how this is a cheese list as it has 1 combat power house unit which has a great save of 5++ till i get to characters but all i hear from people at my club is omg that is so cheesy.

| Cheese is relative but there's nothing in here that anyone who knows what they're doing shouldn't be able to handle it. It's actually a rather toned down clownstar. The fact it's all one big unit in an army of 2000 points means your entire wad is loaded in one single combat unit. An MSU list should be able to walk all over this on any objective based game. Furthermore a single unit of d-scythes or hell, just GK flamers should be able to nuke the whole pack. | |

| Not cheese at all. In fact I'd call it pretty bad and highly unoptimized. Have a Good time learning, because yo'ren't going to be rolling over anybody competent with that list. Don't expect you're game to go beyond turn 3 tho. | |

| I like the list but i think you should add a webway portal and just show up right at their front door with your deathstar.
Funnily enough i'm attemping to create a similar list of my own you should check out my thread.

| As an aside, if someone complains about cheese, your goal should be to bring even more cheese next week, and then your previous list won't seem so bad. | |

| Agreed. Everyone complains about how proper min-maxing leads to an arms race mentality that "ruins the game" but the fact of the matter is if optimization ruins your community any skill growth would have done the same. | |

| I play in a super-conservative, super-casual community, and even they wouldn't call this cheese.
That being said, the first time Freakshow style Ld shenanigans get used on some people, it can be a bit of a paradigm shock, since it isn't a standard strategy that most people are familiar with. That can lead to some accusations of cheese.
Shrug it off and keep going. Or bow to them and play whatever they think is casual. Whichever option is most preferable to you.

Your friends would think I was the Darth Vader of cheese. I would have no friends if I had your friends. They'd call me Darth Paradox.

Option C, take the gloves off, table them so hard they're left baffled and confused. Redefine their classification of cheese.

| Agreed. Mind posting your whole collection? On principle I'll help you make something broken that isn't in anyway a mere netlist. | |

| I rather enjoy the anonymity that lack of portrait affords me: Folks who have no business disputing my assertions do so because I look like any other scrub new arrival, but since I'm breaking out my camera to demo size differences in grotesques for someone on here I'll throw something up. | |

| It's something. I don't know what it is, but it's something. Is it scales? Like the sign for a libra or something? | |

| I think half the forum has avatars that could be described as "dude holding a sword" so kudos for picking something unique. | |

Bah, my "dude holding a sword" is also the real life originator of the quote that spawned my username(that I've had for 15+ years online). So my seemingly unoriginal theme has complexity and historical context. It'd be like if your name was "CarryABigStick", and you had an avatar of Teddy Roosevelt carrying his winchester rifle. But I suppose, despite the historical significance and matching with one's name, he could still accurately be referred to as "a dude with a gun".

| I don't want my avatar, but my standard picture of Jasper Stone won't fit on TDC avatar sizes. | |
