Yannari on Warhammer tv now

Or 'wrong' as I like to call it.

You'd think that people could be bothered to actually read the rules before doing stuff like this.

They keep saying "if that dies then these star weavers will be able to Soulburst" and because I don't subscribe to it I can't comment in the chat to correct them!

Plenty of people have said it in the chat but nothing seems to be getting to the players.

This makes me sad

They also said that they can assault another unit after wiping out a unit in CC which is a no no.

They've finally clocked on and acknowledged that vehicles can't Soulburst. Also they have answered a question I saw on here somewhere a few days ago: you cannot Soulburst from a unit deep strik mishapping next to you

Yeah, I didn't think that one would work as the deep striking unit is never actually on the table.

I think that one is debatable, and awaiting possible FAQ. After wiping the unit, you would no longer be locked, so I don't see why it would be impossible to charge another unit, especially if you didn't shoot in the shooting phase (so as to not conflict with the 'if you shoot at a unit, you can only charge that unit' rule).

The issue is that as per the BRB you're still locked in combat until the end of the (sub?)phase, so you can't charge again as you're still locked in combat when you need to be soulbursting.

They are doing it but I think Ynneadwraith. I don't think you can charge, wipe a unit and then charge another unit. I hope we can but I don't think the rules allow it.

Remember that this is just the first game of the day. the next is at 6:30 GMT. Heck the first game started at 7:45am my time.

I was the one in the chat saying just tell the players so they don't keep playing wrong. I don't want bad habits to get spread.

@Imateria: see ALL of this? All this illegal misplay because the player is just Lawrence we can not take their actions as correct. This is emphatically not a modern take on a white dwarf batrep because there is no QA happening.

@amorrowlyday the scary thing is a lot of people will look to these batreps and then copy how they play!

That is exactly my chief concern.

Just to make sure. If you are talking about today's game, Lawrence was not playing. He was on last week.

No I'm refering to in general because Lawrence also did something that generated discussion last week. I'm continuing that discussion and using The Spider as a placeholder for players they've decided to have on who have no legitimate rules authority. I persisted in using them here in order to maintain continuity across my point fully intending to have this discussion if Imateria, someone else or Lawrence themselves asked about it. So thanks for asking about it!

Lets be clear here: no one knows how this damn rule works exacly, not even GW it seems. Everyone has his point of view and thus as of right now any Ynnari game will have conflictive moments.

Thats why I think Im not gonna play Ynnari anymore until the FAQ drop. With this rule I constantly feel like I'm cheating and I hate it.

What makes us think an FAQ is forthcoming?

Optimism I guess.

Personally I enjoy the rules being "whoever can drunkenly browbeat the judge into ruling in their favor".

Two weeks ago On Warhammer TV they were talking about the book and all the units and one of the guys said he wouldn't answer rules questions because Nick was handling the FAQ and he didn't want to give out incorrect info.
