Do Corsair Psykers choose their Powers?

I believe I saw this mentioned in a different thread, but it wasn't elaborated on so I thought I'd ask specifically. In the Corsair rules, it says this:

Corsair Prince:
"A Corsair Prince who is upgraded to a psyker may select powers from the Divination or Telekinesis disciplines."

Corsair Void Dreamer:
"A Corsair Void Dreamer must always select at least one power from the Aethermancy discipline presented below, and may choose to select additional powers from the Divination or Telekinesis disciplines."

(Emphasis mine.)

So, does this mean that the Prince and Void Dreamer can actually choose the specific powers they want (rather than rolling for them)?

It is mostly up to your TO I suppose. Most people tell you to just roll as normal because that's what they meant, but in my mind that's kind of a kneejerk "eldar are broken" response.

The new ynnari warlord trait does help you argue for select meaning to select (you know, like the English language would have us believe) since now there is another instance where that wording means select.

Then again, this wouldn't be the first rule the Corsair book got wrong to its advantage. Their Shadowfields are clearly 15 points too cheap

RAW yes. Some people say RAI, no. I always ask TOs beforehand. (It's been about 50/50.)

I hate RAI. I mean I'm not saying it's wrong, but while we're at it I think they intended to give the shadow spectres exarch 2 wounds like every other exarch.

And don't get me started on their phoenix lords shadow from death rule or the difference between their holofields.

Yeah, if I was an Archon, I think I'd have some strong words for whoever was selling me my gear.
