1500 Pure DE Warhammer Fest

I'm thinking about going to Warhammer Fest for the 40k tournament. 1500 points, battle forged, all publications in use. Five missions over two days, all different eternal war missions.

My list is essentially a mini variant of Lawrence Baker's No Retreat 2 Dark Eldar list. I'm still a relatively new player and I'm just looking to go and have some fun games, hopefully win at least one of them, but I'm not expecting to win the whole thing. Here is the list:

Realspace Raiders Detachment

Succubus w/ Armour of Misery, Archite Glaive & Haywire Grenades - 115pts

5 units of 5 Kabalite Warriors, 1 w/ Blaster, in Dual Splinter Cannon Venom - 600pts

5 units of 3 Reavers, 1 w/ Blaster & Cluster Caltrops - 365pts

Grotesquerie Formation

Haeomonculus w/ Scissorhand - 80pts

2 units of 2 Grotesques + Aberration in Raider - 340pts



What do people think? Anyone else from the forum planning to go to Warhammer Fest?

Solid list, plenty of anti infantry and just enough anti tank not to die. Some nasty close combat and the MSU is strong here.

One objection/question is this: are you putting blaster and caltrops on the same bike in each squad, or on different bikes. I'd have them on seperate bikes.

@hekatrixxy I'm going to Warhammer fest but only on the sunday. Maybe see you there. As for the list I like it. I don't really know the tournament meta but I would be scared of super heavys and wraithknights? How do you plan to deal with them?

I usually run the CC and Blaster on the same model and use positioning to keep that model at the back of the squad until I'm ready to charge. That way more ablative wounds against losing the special weapons. I can fully see why having them on different models makes things like sniping/being out-positioned less painful as I may get to at least keep one of the two weapons. To be honest though, if someone targets a three man squad with any serious shooting it will probably be wiped out in full, so in my experience it won't make much of a difference.

This will be my first tournament so I have no idea what the meta will be. I am assuming there will be plenty of things that I unfortunately won't have an answer to. In such cases I will do my best to avoid those things, kill everything else that I can and play to the mission as best as possible.
